United we stand:
Secular humanists gathered at our first shoc meeting and we had a great time. I would have a link to a clearer image, but it doesn't get clearer =\

A gentler, softer atheism:
Even though our group is mainly composed of atheists, that does not mean we are here to fight or say your beliefs are wrong. It is a misconception that every atheist is militant and condescending. In fact, working to remove that stereotype is one of our goals.
I believe you will see what we're about a lot more in depth and come to understand our cause if you contact us for further information by looking on our forums FAQ or messaging someone you see privately. Also, if you're already interested, then go ahead and e-mail the secretary or chairman by clicking on the directory link.

This group is dedicated to forming a secular body of students around East Carolina University's campus. Atheists, agnostics, humanists, and skeptics are all encouraged to join. We wish to promote the ideals of scientific rationality, realistic world-views, and human-based ethics in our area.
Using the Secular Student Alliance's model, the three major goals of this group are:
Community: to unite the secular students on campus and get them involved in the goings-on around Greenville.
Education: to correct misconceptions about those who don't believe in a god and show that people can lead moral lives without religion.
Activism: to help enforce the wall of separation between church and state, as well as being active in local, national, and global communities
